The WOF recently started construction on a new housing facility for 3 additional birds of prey. The first new addition to the facility is still yet to be determined.
The WOF was invited by the Mississippi Wildlife Federation to participate in the events at the Great Delta Bear Affair. “President Theodore Roosevelt” was on hand and graciously posed for pictures with several of our birds of prey ambassadors.

The WOF was working in earnest to find a housing facility for Delta (the juvenile bald eagle) shown in our General Pictures photo album. Luckily, there was a space located by one of our affiliate rehabilitators at Louisiana Purchace Gardens and Zoo.
The Wildlife Outreach Foundation was graciously invited to participate in the largest exhibit to premier at the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science. During the six month run of "Hunters of the Sky", the WOF will be on hand virtually every Saturday through December 30, 2007 to demonstrate live raptors and answer questions from the general public in support of the exhibit.
The Wildlife Outreach Foundation recently appeared at the 21st Annual Mississippi Wildlife Extravaganza and appriciates all of the kind donations from the Mississippi Wildlife Federation and the general public.
We are actively striving towards housing more animals for our wildlife outreach programs and are currently pursuing assistance with procuring land and architectural services for our centrally located Magnolia Wildlife Centre.
Fall 2007 News
The Wildlife Outreach Foundation board meeting was recently held and fundraising possibilities were discussed. We are actively seeking large-scale fundraising resources in order to expand our mobile classroom's outreach capabilities throughout the state.
A recent visitor to the Hunters of the Sky exhibit at the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science has agreed graciously to sit in an advisory capacity for the WOF. We welcome Professor of Biology Markus P. Tellkamp, Ph.D, as an official advisor to our organization.
The Wildlife Outreach Foundation is still going strong in constant appearances every Saturday for the Hunters of the Sky exhibit at the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science. Our appearances will be more frequent nearing the end of the exhibit's run, so please come and see us every weekend throughout the holidays and through the end of the year.
Winter 2007 News
Due to the success of the Hunters of the Sky Exhibit, the MS Natural Science Museum has asked the WOF to be an on-going presence at the museum providing live, hands-on wildlife education experiences for the general public on every fourth Saturday of the month.
We were able to gain exposure through this alliance to over 60,000 people in 2007. Our gratitude and continued work with all of our affiliates is paramount in our goals and successes.
In order to realize our moble classroom goal of reaching every major school system in the state and the construction of the Magnolia Wildlife Center, it will require Herculean efforts of all people involved with the WOF to assist in fundraising, grant-writing, and philothropic endowments for assistance.
The WOF has been asked to be part of two new cultural events in Carthage and Moss Point. Please see our schedule for more information.
